Audi has opened bookings for the new Audi Q3 in India. The booking fee for the new Audi Q3 is Rs 2 lakh and can be paid online or at any authorized dealership of Audi across India. To ensure social distancing and to avoid crowding, the booking process has been planned in two phases. In the first phase, customers would be able to book their vehicle by paying only a token amount of Rs 2 lakhs, until June 30; while those who wish to make advanced payments would have to wait till July 31 before they could do so (due date on advanced payment).

Audi’s re-entry into this high volume segment comes after it discontinued its erstwhile Q3 in 2018 on account of strict BS6 emission norms in India; however now with stricter standards relaxed allowing for higher mpg figures under BS4 norms but with certain restrictions imposed on emissions levels which limits engine power output considerably- hence why moving from BS6 standards altogether is not possible till 2021 at least because 2021 model year vehicles cannot meet BS4 emission levels required by Indian government regulations due April 2020 deadline set by Ministry Of Road Transport And Highways (MRTH) ministry earlier this month…”

The car will be available in two variants, one with a 2.0-liter turbocharged engine and another version with a 2.5-liter turbocharged engine. Both these engines are mated to an eight-speed automatic transmission system that has been developed by ZF Friedrichshafen GmbH (ZF). Normally aspirated units also have an option for a four-cylinder diesel unit as well as an electric motor connected to both rear wheels via torque vectoring technology
